The Best Waffles

For those of you who came over this Saturday morning for breakfast ...
(and for those who didn't)

In one bowl mix together
* 1 Cup Flour
* 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
* 1/2 teaspoon Salt

In another bowl pour in 1 cup milk then add 1 egg and then mix with a whisk until you see nice froth

Add the milk/egg mixture to the flour mixture and mix by hand until the flour is just incorporated. Don't over mix.

Add 2 tablespoons melted butter and mix into waffle mixture. Let the waffle mix rest for 5-10 minutes before cooking.

For Saturday, I did 6 times this recipe for the group. Make sure you use a cooking spray each time cook waffles.

ENJOY !!

  1. So I am learning that I am a little lame in the kitchen, I have a couple of questions...
    1. How did you do the strawberry whipping cream?
    2. How did you make the strawberry glaze mixture we used on the waffles?
    It was DELICIOUS! I can't wait to recreate it.

  2. Here's how you do the Strawberry Whipping Cream ..
    1) Make sure your bowl is chilled (this will help the cream whip easier)
    2) Once whipped, add some powdered sugar to taste
    3) Mash some strawberries or raspberries. Fold into the whip cream. For a pint of whipping cream, I use one of the 6 oz containers of raspberries

    The strawberry glaze mixture were the sliced strawberries in juice that you can get at Smith's. It is the Private Selection brand and is in the round containers. You can find it in the frozen section next to the whipped toppings.
